SUPPORT MINISTRY
Jay Newman
Council Ministry Director

Note: Support Ministry Committee—Responsibilities include management and leadership in the areas of financial and volunteer support.
Building Fund Project—Love Builds to Serve, Phase II (LBTS), is in progress. The committee is coordinating a 3-year campaign beginning in spring 2008 to fund mortgage debt reduction. The campaign’s mission is to pay off the funds that were borrowed for TLLC's new building expansion, completed in July 2006. The primary goal is to reach the congregation above and beyond the annual Stewardship awareness drive.
Stewardship—The committee develops and coordinates the annual fall Stewardship awareness drive as well as provides leadership to increase the congregation’s understanding of TLLC’s financial opportunities and
challenges for the upcoming year.
Finance—The committee is an integral part of formulating the congregation’s proposed annual operating budget. The budget is set from submitted pledges.
Computer
Support—Computer professionals comprise the group which audits computer needs of the staff regarding hardware and software, and provides support for the staff. These computer experts are on call for problem solving and keeping the computers updated and operating smoothly.
Archives—Members of the committee maintain an accurate historical record of TLLC’s 30+ year history. Volunteers research and organize official publications and photographs. Digital photographs of events and activities are also a part of TLLC’s archives.
Fundraising Approval—The Support Council Ministry also receives and makes recommendations for congregational fundraising activities.
Office Volunteer Support—Volunteers assist the staff by serving as receptionists, receiving phone calls, and providing support for large printing and assembly projects. These opportunities are available during the week, as well as for specific limited ministry projects.
Sunday Tithes and Offerings Counters—Each week a team of designated volunteers gather to prepare the tithes and offerings to the Glory of God.
