Mission: The
Witness Committee plans and executes the congregation's efforts
in reaching the unchurched and assisting member retention
by listening to others and sharing the grace of God with
all.
The four
main committees of the Witness Ministry are:
First
Time Callers – Make follow-up telephone calls
from home to first-time visitors in order to make them feel
welcome and to answer any questions about our community.
PIE
(Persons Involved in Evangelism) – PIE meets
the second Sunday of each month to review the list of visitors
and assigns contacts, discuss topics relevant to evangelism,
and eat pie for refreshment!
New
Member Orientation – Interview and discern
the needs of our new members. Be available for new member
orientation interviews. Requires one afternoon approximately
4 times per year; a ChristCare group.
ChristCare
Callers – Telephone callers meet the second
Monday of each month for Bible study and for fellowship.
Make caring calls to check on members, to listen and to be
of assistance if the need arises; a ChristCare group.
If you are
interested in learning more about these groups, please contact
the Witness Ministry Director.
