Ministry Summary
Youth Ministry involves the young people of TLLC in the work of Christ, while providing for their spiritual growth and nurture.
Ministry & Committee Activities/ACTS
Sunday School: Sixth grade students are having confirmation with Steve Mueller. Seventh and eighth grade students are using the Akaloo curriculum. Senior high students are using the Akaloo curriculum with Chris Madgwick. (Attract, Transform)
High School Small Groups: Small groups continue to meet monthly or weekly. (Care)
7th and 8th Grade Girls Bible Study (ended Nov. 9): Thanks to Deb Hilton and Dee O'Connell for organizing this activity. (Attract, Transform)
Middle School JAM (Oct. 16): Games, pizza, devotions for grades 6-8. Thanks to Dee O'Connell and Deb Hilton for hosting. (Attract, Transform)
Confirmation Retreat (Oct. 13), Banquet (Oct. 25), Confirmation (Oct. 26): 19 students were confirmed. Thanks to Chris Madgwick and Pastor Jennifer for hosting the retreat and banquet. (Transform)
Ministry Fair (Oct. 19): Thanks to Adam Bertero and Nicole Updegrove for handling the Youth Ministry table. (Attract)
JAM (Oct. 19): Thanks to Dee O'Connell and Deb Hilton for organizing. About a dozen middle school youth attended. (Attract, Transform)
IHM (Oct. 19): Attended by 7 high school youth who prepared 41 care packages, which were mailed to college-age members. Thanks to the Stys family for hosting. (Care)
Junior High Gathering (Nov. 7-9): Chris Madgwick and four youth attended this event at Camp Chrysallis. (Attract, Transform)

Joint Activities Update
Planned and led lessons for Confirmation with Pastor Jennifer. Leading 8th grade small group.
Hosted 8th grade confirmation banquet with Pastor Jennifer and planned confirmation service.
Planned lessons and taught 7th/8th grade Sunday School and high school.
Registered TLLC for synod bus transportation for 2009 ELCA National Youth Gathering.
Led middle school youth at Junior High Gathering at Camp Chrysalis.
Proposed restructure of youth room to create separate middle and high school meeting spaces
Contacting two grades per month, primarily via phone calls.
