Adult Volunteers

The adults who help are like the big safety net below a trapeze artist and the air that fills a hot air balloon. From January-July there are a lot of adults that are making sure that we have the best staff and that the staff is then trained, equipped, supported, and has campers. Please take a look at some of the volunteer positions we have available to be a part of making this happen.

Registrar

This team (or individual) handles all our registrations and systems of check-in and check-out. It requires organizational skills and time in the morning and afternoon during camp (about an hour total) as well as the ability to manage a system for campers as they register. March-July

Hiring Staff

This is a group of about 3 people who review applications, and interview the staff. They then work with the Camp Director to put staff in positions. It requires about 3 weeks of time. (All interviews and reviewing sessions are set by this team.) People with camp/child care experience and strong discernment skills are needed. February - March

Training Staff

These folks help us train our staff, whether it’s a workshop on first aid or how to lead songs. But even if you don’t want to teach a session, there is still much more to do. Perhaps it’s just making sure that the space is set up, or cooking a meal and providing snacks. Folks with skills and callings in hospitality and creativity are needed. June

Supplies Coordinator

This person/team must have strong organizational skills. They go through our curriculum and purchase/order all our supplies. May - June

Office Help

We always need folks to just sit in our front office during the camp day. We ask that you be available for 2 hour shifts. July

Design and Media

We need camper applications, T-shirts, and staff applications. If you have a background with design and love making icons or logos you’d be perfect!

PR and Advertising

This person/team would help us promo out to the community how great Camp Hope is going to be! Must be able to help us get the word out, have good writing skills, and manage deadlines. March - July

Mentoring Staff

These folks make our staff feel supported, keep the staff room stocked with snacks, send notes, pray, visit, and check in campers. They are there to answer questions and keep our community holding up these young people as leaders. March - July
