My musical training started early taking piano lessons, singing in church and school choirs, and performing in musical theatre. Oddly enough, I pursued a Bachelor’s degree from U.T. Austin in Advertising working in this field for several years. I also worked several years as an Administrative Assistant in banking and accounting.
However, my call to share my passion for music became evident when I married. I started teaching private piano lessons and preschool music in Houston. I continued my music education at Sam Houston State University and Houston Community College. I have also directed children’s church choirs, Sunday school and VBS music, and Christmas programs. I am pleased to be returning to a Christian preschool having spent two years at a corporate-franchised daycare. I am looking forward to a fun and blessed year at Triumphant Love’s CDC!
My husband, Mark and I have raised two fine sons, Nate-25 and Philip-20. All three of my “boys” are brass players: French horn, euphonium and trumpet. Besides music, my family enjoys sports and cooking. We are active members at Peace Lutheran Church. Mark and I enjoy day-trips, dining at unique restaurants, and antiquing.
