Children in Worship

Children in Worship – Yes!

At TLLC children in worship are not only welcomed but expected… with all their wiggles, giggles, grumps, and bumps. Our community is not complete without all ages being welcomed to worship. Keep reading to learn about the many ways for families to participate together in our space.

PrayGround – Families pass faith

This worship space is designed specifically for a parent-supervised children’s worship experience in conjunction with our services. Located in the front right of our Sanctuary, this space allows young children a better view and a chance to parallel play, giving them opportunities to engage in key components of worship and the sacraments.

Children’s Tables

Tables are set up in the front row for elementary aged children to do age appropriate activities as they follow along with worship.

Children’s Worship Cart

All who enter TLLC’s sanctuary pass through the narthex where our Children’s Cart sits. There are books, toys, and other materials for all ages which your children can take to the pew with them. Our cart is filled with resources meant to help connect your young child’s mind to the day’s worship.

Family Room

This room is located in the back left (organ side) of the Sanctuary. Sound is patched in from the service. Parents with children may have to take a break from worship in order to nurse, soothe, etc. We understand! Our Family Room provides a space for such occasions while still allowing you to stay engaged.

Nursery

Located down the hallway from the Sanctuary is a room staffed with certified caregivers. For those times when your preK and younger children need a space of their own, we provide a joyous space where they are able to fully express themselves as close to the sanctuary as possible.

In Service

Children are observant, and they are natural givers. Their pure hearts desire to serve! Inside the sanctuary and beyond, when they see volunteers perform service work, children naturally aim to show how they are big enough to share in that service. Let them! They can sign up to be an usher, a greeter, a reader, an acolyte, work in the A/V room, or sing in the choir through our worship and music ministry.
Please fill out a Connections Card and let us know!
