Maria Lopez
My name is Maria Isabel López, this is my fifth year as an assistant teacher. This year I will be helping Ms. Angela in the Turtles Classroom. I was born in Eagle Pass, TX but raised here in Austin. I have three brothers and one sister. I graduated from Austin High and am bilingual in Spanish and English. I am a proud mother of four children, two boys and two girls. I have worked as an AmeriCorps member helping with early literacy workshops for parents of Pre-K students. I also worked as a Parent Book Club Facilitator in early childhood programs providing parents with literacy techniques to help make read aloud enjoyable for the whole family. I spend time with my family enjoying them as much as possible by going out to the movies, to the park and traveling to Monterrey, México to visit family. In my spare time I love to do all kinds of crafts. My favorite craft is crocheting which I find very relaxing. I am very happy and excited to work another year at Triumphant Love CDC and look forward to having a great year!
