Shannon Carr

Congregational Engagement Leader

Shannon, originally from Austin, TX, grew up in the Galveston area and returned to Austin as a young adult. She enjoyed a lively career as a hairstylist for over two decades before shifting her focus to new pursuits.

A lifelong Lutheran, Shannon and her daughter joined TLLC in 2022. Beyond her role as Congregational Engagement Leader, Shannon is deeply involved in the church community, serving on the Endowment Committee, and volunteering with the Altar Guild and as a receptionist in the Church Office. Her daughter is actively engaged in the high school youth program. She resides in Northwest Austin with her long-time partner, Charlie, and enjoys traveling, cooking, and entertaining friends and family.
