Summer Volunteer Opportunities
Many organizations in our area need help over the summer months when their regular volunteers go on vacation. Here's some suggestions if you and your family are looking for ways to get involved in our community.
Bread for All, a food pantry sponsored by Austin City Lutherans, needs help with distribution on Monday evenings from 5-7:30 PM. Volunteers are also needed to deliver our TLLC donations on Monday afternoons. The pantry is located at Faith Presbyterian Church, 1314 E. Oltorff. Volunteer
Micah 6, a food pantry in West Campus, needs volunteers on Thursday evenings (5-7:30 PM) and Saturday mornings (9 AM-Noon). The pantry is located at University Presbyterian Church, 2203 San Antonio Street. Volunteer
Meals on Wheels Central Texas needs substitute drivers over the summer months. Delivering meals takes one lunch hour. There are many pick-up sites all over the Austin area. Volunteer
Community First Village provides affordable, permanent housing for the chronically homeless in Central Texas. Volunteers of all ages are needed for numerous indoor and outdoor tasks. The village is located at 9301 Hog Eye Road. Volunteer

Help us celebrate and share God's grace through benevolence and volunteer participation in Austin, in Texas, and around the world.
Agua Viva is a Lutheran Mission congregation in the colonia of El Cenizo, Texas, along the Mexican border near Laredo. Through our Missionary for a Day program, Triumphant Love helps to provide after-school meals for 100 children and food for a church pantry that serves 50 families. We also collect / deliver school supplies and Christmas presents every year and help with site maintenance. Contacts: Jon or Josh Martin

Water to Thrive is dedicated to the mission of bringing clean, safe water to those who need it in rural Africa. Triumphant Love has supported the building of almost 100 wells since 2008. Contact: Dick Moeller
The Austin CROP Hunger Walk raises funds to help combat hunger in our community and around the world. An intergenerational team from Triumphant Love participates in this annual springtime walk. Contacts: Bob Kohls or Janis Coltin
Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation's decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad. As a Covenant Church, Triumphant Love observes Bread for the World Sunday and participates in an annual Offering of Letters to advocate an end to hunger. Contact: Jan Vardaman
ELCA World Hunger works to address hunger and poverty through education, advocacy, relief, and development in the US and nearly 60 countries. Triumphant Love provides financial support through designated donations or by linking their Randalls Remarkable card to "Triumphant Love" through the Good Neighbor Program. Contact: Janis Coltin
Florence's Comfort House supplies a safe place for children to study and play in southeast Austin. Triumphant Love provides financial support, collects donations, and assists with grounds maintenance. Contact: Kristin Burke
Interfaith Action of Central Texas (iACT) cultivates peace and respect through interfaith dialogue, service, and celebration. Triumphant Love members participate in iACT events, including The Red Bench, an ongoing dialogue program, and interfaith worship services. Contact: Mary Halaney
Lutheran World Relief extends Christian love to people overcoming poverty, injustice and human suffering around the world. Triumphant Love provides financial support through designated offerings. Contact: Janis Coltin
Meals on Wheels Central Texas provides hot, nutritious home-delivered meals to seniors and the disabled who would otherwise go hungry. Triumphant Love teams deliver mid-day meals on Mondays and Thursdays. Contact: Pat DiSanza
The Multicultural Refugee Coalition creates opportunities for refugee livelihoods through training, education and community connections. Triumphant Love provides financial support and hosts MRC's Shared Voices interpreter training classes. Contacts: Reenie Visness or Vernetta Westbrook
Upbring (formerly Lutheran Social Services of the South) is committed to break the cycle of child abuse by empowering children, families and communities. Triumphant Love provides financial support, as well as mentoring and donations for New Life Children's Center. Contact: Laurel Reed
