Join us February 14th as we begin a 10-week Faith in Action class that culminates in April with Earth Sunday. From “the beginning” our role in creation has been that of earthkeeping: “And God said, ‘Let us make human beings in our image, make them reflecting our nature so that they can be responsible for the fish in the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and yes, Earth itself, and every creeping thing that moves on the face of the earth'” (Genesis 1:1 & 26, The Message). Whether you can join us weekly or occasionally, you won’t want to miss this in-depth discussion of caring for creation from a Christian perspective. We will explore Biblical foundations of stewardship, ways to care for the Earth as individuals and as a congregation, and how our Lutheran theology adds to this ancient and contemporary conversation.
