This “a la carte” series will explore spiritual practices and how we might implement them into our everyday lives.

Week 5 – June 27

Join the Adult Faith in Action class this Sunday, June 27th, for the final session over spiritual practices! We will be concluding this series with a closing conversation about spiritual practices in our lives and a ritual of blessing our time together. Whether this will be your first or fifth time with us (or somewhere in between), you are welcome to join the conversation! Come chat with us in person at 10am in the Community Classroom! Please sign up using the link in your weekly eNews. Masks are required for this in person class.

A closing announcement: Faith in Action will take a break on July 4th but begin again on July 11th with a series centered on Homelessness. Watch for more info to come!

Week 4 – June 20

Join the Adult Faith in Action class this Sunday, June 20th, for a class session on the spiritual practice of Centering Prayer. Over the past few weeks of learning about spiritual practices, a common theme has arisen: it is hard to pray when our minds (and lives) are so busy. Centering Prayer is an amazing practice that gets right at this – affirming that we are beings that constantly think and honoring space to acknowledge our thoughts but let them go in order to center. Come learn more with us in person at 10am in the Community Classroom! Please sign up using the link in your weekly eNews. Masks are required for this in person class. Contact info@tllc.org if you cannot make it this Sunday to schedule a time for a virtual meeting. We look forward to welcoming you, virtually or in person, to learn about and practice Centering Prayer.

Week 3 – June 13

Do you love stories and imaginative reflection? Are you wanting to add more scripture reading into your days/weeks? Join the Adult Faith in Action class this Sunday, June 13th, for a class session on the spiritual practice of Lectio Divina. Pastor Armin will be co-leading this practice with Cecie in the Community Classroom starting at 10am! Please sign up using the link in your weekly eNews. Masks are required for this in person class! Can’t make it this Sunday but want to explore Lectio Divina? Join Cecie virtually on Tuesday, June 15th, from 11am-11:45am for conversation and a guided practice. The Google Meeting link for this can be found on the TLLC calendar! (Please note the time change – it will be at 11am this week.)

Week 2 – June 6

Join us Sunday, June 6th in person at TLLC in the Community Classroom for the second week of exploring spiritual practices! Couldn’t make it last week? That is no problem at all – and we welcome you to join us as we focus on the spiritual disciplines of Sabbath and Silence. Please sign up using this Sign Up Genius link so we can know who is coming! Can’t make it this Sunday? Join Cecie virtually the following Tuesday (6/8) from 12pm-12:45pm for conversation over lunch and a more focused discussion on Sabbath and Silence. The link for this virtual gathering can be found on the TLLC calendar!

 Week 1 – May 30

The first week will begin with introductions, an open conversation about current prayer and spiritual practices we use, and an Ignatian Examen prayer practice led by Cecie, our summer Adult Faith Formation Coordinator. We will light at candle during the times that we take part in the prayer practices as a way to center ourselves. If you can’t make it on Sunday, join Cecie over lunch on Tuesday, June 1st from 12pm-12:45pm for conversation and an Ignatian Examen prayer practice using the link found in our TLLC Calendar
