God’s work. Our hands. Sunday is an opportunity to share who we are as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America – one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor. This is the 10th year of a tradition that began in 2013 as the ELCA celebrated its 25th Anniversary. We join with nearly 9,000 other congregations to do God’s Work with Our Hands, knowing it only takes A Little Faith! In the gospel text, four friends carry a paralytic to Jesus for healing. Patience, tenacity, and endurance are required in the life of faith. What does it mean to have this sort of faith, a faith that can truly be God’s work and yet it’s done with our hands? On this Sunday, we once again experience this faith that God has given us. It is a gift that strengthens our connection to our God and strengthens our stewardship to our community!
