8-week class April 12 – June 7
Sundays @ 12:15pm (following 11am worship)
Upper Room
The Chosen is the first-ever multiple-season television show about Jesus Christ and his first followers. The series depicts Jesus’s life through the eyes of the people who interacted with him, including the apostles and disciples of Jesus, Jewish religious leaders, Roman government and military officials, and ordinary people. With over half a billion views on its free electronic media app, the show has amassed a worldwide following and has now become available on cable networks, streaming services, and broadcast television. But what, exactly, makes it so appealing to viewers? And how do its theology and storytelling technique compare with the biblical narratives?

This class will meet April – June on Sundays after the 11:00 worship (roughly 12:15-1:45) in the Upper Room. Each session will include viewing an hour episode from season 3 followed by a 30 minute discussion. Grab your favorite Bible, bring a brown bag lunch, and join us!
