In my years of experience in churches, I often hear the phrase: We must do it this way because that’s the way we’ve always done it. Or, people want to go back to doing things the way they’ve always been done. God created us to be creatures who grow and evolve spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically. As a church, we are inspired by the Holy Spirit to continue evolving as the Body of Christ. As such, we need to let go of doing things the way they’ve always been done. Letting go of the old makes room the new things God wants to do with us.
