Trail Work Day
March 21, 2026
Twenty-one volunteers of all ages worked for hours on this warm Saturday morning, clearing brush and delineating trails. Six men with chain saws and other tools cleared the natural grotto on the trail below the right side of the outdoor worship area, and this was a huge job!

After the job was complete, we named it Gray Fox Grotto in honor of a past visitor.

And got a close up look at the aquifer and some maidenhair ferns along the wall.

Meanwhile, the other 15 volunteers moved an entire pile of woodchips down to the Jack’s Garden trail and the meadow, to better delineate walking paths, and also marked the edge of the trails with rocks and cedar trunks and limbs.
And the Jack’s Garden Trail was transformed from this:

The work was hard, but so very worth the effort! If you get a chance, check it out!
