Triumphant Love One Another

John 13:34

Easter initiates a new day. It anticipates a new heaven and a new earth. The risen Christ is making all things new. Jesus shares that he will no longer be physically present with his disciples, and points them to a new way of being – a community of those who love one another. Through the command to love, we are invited into the beauty and the messiness of community. The love that binds together the Father with the Son is now to bind together the members of the community. This Sunday, we celebrate our graduating high school seniors and send them off to their next chapters with our blessings. In this special service we remember that we are bound together in love as we wrap them in blankets of our triumphant love.
