On this Earth Day I invite you to join me in giving the Earth a gift – make a step toward earthkeeping. Here are some ideas:
Join us for our Adult Faith in Action Class online Sunday at 10:00AM (See Earthkeeping info)
Join us for a special Care of Creation Sunday WWYA at 9:00 or 11:00AM (Recorded services)
Turn off your lights when not in use and check irrigation systems for leaks
Pick up trash from around your neighborhood or plant a tree
Share nature items with our CDC for their Nature Playscape (see Serving Safely)
Look at creation with an attitude of gratitude
Pray the words of “Touch the Earth Lightly” #739 in our ELW Hymnal
Touch the earth lightly, use the earth gently,
Nourish the life of the world in our care:
Gift of great wonder, ours to surrender,
Trust for the children tomorrow will bear.
God of all living, God of all loving,
God of the seedling, the snow, and the sun,
Teach us, deflect us, Christ reconnect us,
Using us gently, and making us one.
