Parents, church staff, mentors and older confirmation students welcomed seven sixth graders to the life changing experience of learning and growing that we call Confirmation. At the worship service on Wednesday, August 21st, these sixth graders received their “official” confirmation Bibles.
Each Bible was inscribed with a personal message from Pastor Danielle and Deacon Bri and their names written with calligraphy by Deacon Kelly.
As Lutheran Study Bibles, they provide sidebars, historical background, Lutheran perspectives and faith reflection questions.
The first year of Confirmation introduces Bible stories that illustrate God’s Word to His people. Students read, discuss and apply what they think and believe about God’s great love for us. This long standing TLLC tradition reminds students for all three years of Confirmation and beyond that they are valued by God and by our congregation.
