A Foretaste of the Feast to Come

Communion Celebration Group

A few weeks ago on a very warm April morning a few little ones did something very special… they celebrated communion together. Some of them celebrated for the very first time with pride beaming over their faces, some of them after many years with just a little more love and understanding in their hearts. All of them, children and families alike, filled with bread and wine; a tangible taste of the love and connection of God.

While we have communion instruction every year for our 1st grade(ish) kiddos, last year went without… a year without a feast it felt like. Luckily we learned and adapted and were able to find a way to keep this long standing tradition alive! It was so wonderful to share a table with some of the youngest members of our congregation yet again.
