We celebrate at TLLC often, living boldly in God’s triumphant love. As we move through the summer months, we can see yet another reason to celebrate. We have returned to two services, we have had the Back to School Blessing, and the return of Wednesday Connect has begun!
Last week at Wednesday Connect was the one year anniversary of Triumphant Love’s Care Of Creation Team launching the TLLC Waste Management Program!
The initial confusion we all had with, “Is it landfill, or can I recycle it, or should I compost?”, is fading into the background. Composting is winning out. Trash collection and recycle pickup at TLLC is trending down, while our compost program is gaining traction.
We at TLLC are not the only beneficiaries. As outside entities visit our campus, or as TLLC members visit with others outside of our church, the message of our composting program is being shared, and is spreading. The requests for how our program is run are growing. As other churches (as many as five that we are aware of) or outside groups replicate our program, we can feel blessed that our collective desire to care for God’s creation is being shared with others.
The Care of Creation Team asked for your participation and you boldly said yes!!
Oh, and something new with the composting program! The Keurig K-Cups are NOT compostable, but the new Happy Belly Dark Roast coffee pods in the Parlor ARE compostable!!
