Connected to the Vine & Branching Out!

TLLC Ministry Tree isolated

This Sunday we hear the familiar metaphor that Christ is the vine and we are the branches. What a good excuse to reconnect to our ministry theme: Forming Faith from Roots to Fruit! As Jesus’ words remind us, the branches cannot grow, reach out, or bear fruit unless they are firmly rooted and connected to the vine. In this year of social distancing, many of us have felt disconnected – from friends and family, from fellow members, even from our faith. As he speaks to the disciple, Jesus reminds us to “abide” in him to regain that connection, for it is through this abiding that we are grounded in the Vinegrower’s love, nourished by the Vine’s example, and rooted in the vineyard that is our community. How is your branch these days – hearty and healthy or starved and shriveled? If you’re the former, then reach out to another branch, who might need a boost. If you’re the later, then join us for WWYA or “In & Out” Services to reconnect to our community and to Christ!
