On a warm, early summer morning in May 2024, six volunteers and four staff members gathered their sledge hammers and chisels to dismantle the stonework framing the street sign along Great Hills Trail.
Removing the sign was the first step to make room for a new digital sign, which would be installed in July 2024.
Many of the volunteers were from the Men’s Theology and Service Breakfast group. Like many of the projects the group takes on, this was an opportunity for fellowship and a chance to be part of something that will serve the church for years to come. Typically, the projects for this group are nowhere near as labor-intensive as this one was, so for this special project, we are especially thankful for these volunteers.
This particular project allowed the groups to come together and take the first step in a venture that will transform how we communicate with the congregation and the broader community.
The strengths and talents within the TLLC community are what keep the church moving forward, and those gifts were highlights that day.
If you have been looking for a WAY to become more involved, the Men’s Theology and Service Breakfast group is a great place to start. It’s more than just a meal—it’s about making connections, giving back, and growing together in faith and friendship. Whether we’re tackling projects like the sign or simply gathering to support each other, there is always something meaningful happening.
We would love to have more people join us—there is always a place for you.
