Our annual CDC Thanksgiving lunch was truly something special this year. It wasn’t just a meal, it was a moment of togetherness that reminded me why I love this community so much. Sitting side by side, sharing food that everyone poured love into, and joining together in prayer made the whole room feel warm and connected. There was such a sense of unity, like we were all part of something bigger than ourselves.
I loved looking around and seeing families, teachers, and little ones all gathered with grateful hearts. The laughter, the conversations, it all felt so pure and genuine. It’s moments like this that make the CDC feel more like a family than just a place we come to each day. You can really feel the kindness, the support, and the love that fills our halls.
Being able to slow down, give thanks together, and share in such a meaningful tradition means more than words can explain. I left with my heart full and my spirit lifted. The CDC truly has a way of creating a sense of home, and I’m so grateful to be part of it. – Monica Cardenas
